It is with deep gratitude that we share the news that Victoria Matthews will be coming to Sault Ste. Marie to serve during the months of June, July, and August. Leading both the 8:00am and 10:00am services!
Bishop Victoria is widely respected across the Anglican Communion for her wisdom, warmth, and steady pastoral leadership. She has served as a diocesan bishop in both Canada and New Zealand, including as Bishop of Christchurch, where she guided the diocese through a period of profound rebuilding and renewal following the devastating earthquakes.
She has also previously served at St. Michael's and All Angels during an interregnum and was appointed Episcopal Administrator in the Diocese of Moosonee. Her experience in times of transition, coupled with her deep faith and pastoral sensitivity, will be a significant gift to the Cathedral community and the wider diocese during these summer months.
